Key findings

Legal expertise is the #1 legal-document challenge

Across Finland, Sweden, and Norway, the main challenge related to legal documents is a lack of legal expertise, and the CEO/senior management is often responsible for drafting legal documents.

AI is present but not yet mainstream in legal drafting

Use of AI in drafting legal documents remains limited overall, with Finland showing the highest utilisation in the study.

E-signing is becoming everyday work

Daily use of e-signing has increased across all three countries, and the share of companies signing more than half of their documents electronically has increased in Sweden and Finland.

Agreements are scattered

Storing documents in multiple locations is the most common challenge in document and contract management, while computer hard drives remain the most common storage location (even as digital archives increase).
