    Yes. Visma Sign’s e-signatures are legally binding and fully compliant with EU eIDAS and GDPR regulations.

  • Is e-signing accepted by companies and authorities?
    Yes. Authorities, banks, and most business partners accept E-signing in compliance with the eIDAS regulation.

  • Can I use e-signing with international partners?
    Yes. E-signatures based on the eIDAS regulation are valid throughout the EU and are accepted in most European countries. With Visma Sign, you can collect signatures based on strong authentication from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Netherlands.
    E-signing is also possible from other countries with digitally drawn signature that is included in Visma Sign.

  • How does the signer verify their identity?
    E-signatures are based on electronic authentication. Visma Sign offers two authentication options: strong authentication and simple authentication. The sender of the signing invitation chooses the required authentication level for each signer, allowing both methods to be used in the same document if needed.

    Strong authentication refers to signing with BankID or Mobile ID, available in Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
    Simple authentication, or digital handwritten signing, is a legally binding method when strong authentication is not required.
    The signer simply draws their name with a mouse, finger, or stylus on a computer or mobile device.
